If you see people out on the street this weekend who are homeless or displaced due to Hurricane Irene, please encourage them to go indoors during the hurricane.  All homeless shelters will be open from Fri 7pm thru Mon 7am because of the storm. 

Call the Shelter Hotline at (800) 535-7252 to identify available space.

Homeless families can be referred to the Kennedy Rec Center at 7^th and P Sts NW which will be open as a temporary shelter site on Saturday through the weekend.

Anything that you can do to help those who have no place to stay to get indoors would be greatly appreciated.  Please spread the word.
